Spiced Up Sweet Potato Fries
Ingredients
400g field fare sweet potato fries
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more)
1/2 teaspoon cumin (optional)
garlic salt
3 tablespoons olive oil per 1 very big sweet potato
8 strips cooked bacon (preferably baked), chopped
For serving:
extra cayenne pepper
extra garlic salt or regular salt
mayo or Ranch dressing (optional)
green onions or chives, chopped
Cook sweet potato fries:-
OVEN: Pre-heat the oven to 220°C/425°F/Gas Mark 7. Spread the preferred quantity of product (± 500g) evenly on the baking tray (preferably on baking paper). Place the tray in the middle of the oven. Bake the product for about 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, turn them until golden orange and crispy.
Remove and let cool on a wire rack.
Just like all potato fries, these are best served right out of the oven – that’s when they are at their crispiest. To serve, sprinkle with extra cayenne pepper and extra garlic salt (or regular salt), if desired. Sprinkle with chopped green onions or chives. Serve mayo (spiced up or plain) or Ranch serving as a dip (optional).
