Getting Behind Zero Waste Week

Zero Waste Week’s aim is to raise awareness of the environmental impact of waste and empowering people to reduce waste.

“Zero Waste Week is inspiring people all around the world to dramatically reduce waste they create for good” Theresa May, Prime Minister *

Shockingly the UK are still throwing away £13 billion food waste each year.

Reducing waste is something that we are extremely passionate about here at field fare.

Buying field fare frozen food is a great way of minimising food waste as the food is conveniently stored in your freezer until you need it, so you avoid things going bad in the fridge.  Plus as frozen food is sourced and frozen at the peak of freshness this ensures the quality, nutrients and freshness of the foods are locked in.

Our loose frozen products are sold straight from the freezer in a scoop-and-serve format meaning customers can also reduce their plastic usage too. Customers can bring their own reusable tubs to fill or our products can be bought in a single recyclable bag.  A significant way to reduce unnecessary packaging waste.

If everyone makes a few small changes to help reduce their waste, together we could make a huge impact on the environment.

Everyone’s effort really counts!

Allergens

Fieldfare welcome all shoppers but due to our products being sold loose we don’t recommend them if you suffer with anaphylaxis from the following allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, milk, egg, shellfish (molluscs and crustaceans) and fish.

We also urge caution for other allergen sufferers as there is a risk of cross-contamination from celery, gluten, lupin, mustard, soya and sulphites which may be present in products in the same freezer.
